Programmes Details:

Booth and Exhibition

1) Service Booths

Services provided at the service booth will be:

- Blood type check up

- Blood donation campaign

- HIV Test

2) Exhibitions

There will be exhibitions from several agencies to info about drug abuse. There are:

- Agensi Anti Dadah Kebangsaan (AADK)

- Polis DiRaja Malaysia (PDRM)

- Jabatan Penjara Malaysia

Games and Activities Booths:

1) Quizzes

- Date: 17th March 2009

- Fee: RM0.50 per entry

- Questions: Based on the exhibition by Agensi Anti Dadah Kebangsaan

- Prizes: Hampers and certificates

- Rules: Each student can enter just once

2) Survey form

- The survey questions will be based on general knowledge about drugs and each survey answered will be given a souvenir. The survey is done to know how well students know about drugs and to see their level of awareness of drug abuse.

3) Guess the weight of drug

- Each entry will be charged RM0.50 only. Students just have to guess the weight of the drug. The prizes will be hampers!

4)Siswa Benci Dadah

- At Siswa Benci Dadah booth, flyers on drugs will be given. Badges and car stickers for students and staff will also be distributed there.

Religious Talk:

The religious talk will be on March 19th at Masjid An-Nur. The topic is about the drug abuse from Islam perspective. Talk will be given by Ustaz from Pengasih or from UTP.

Trip:

Trip to Penjara Taiping for 80 students only! This is to give more exposure to students about prison and to create awareness on drug abuse. Trip to Zoo Taiping will be conducted after that. Don't miss it!

RADA Registration:

RADA is Rakan Anti Dadah which is a program organized by Agensi Dadah Kebangsaan. It is a volunteer program where the members will cooperate with Agensi Dadah Kebangsaan to prevent drug abuse.

There are a lot of Siswa Benci Dadah actitivies will be happening

in UTP after this mid semester break!

Date: March 2nd – 18th, 2009
Theme: ‘Siswa Benci Dadah’
Fee: RM7 per entry.

Prizes: 1st place: RM100, certificate and merchandise.
2nd place: RM70, certificate and merchandise.
3rd place: RM50, certificate and merchandise.

Other details:
1) Students have to submit their work in soft copy for A3 size printing.
2) This is an individual competition and each participant will be given certificates.
3) The winner will be the main poster in “Minggu Siswa Benci Dadah “

Montage making competition
Date: March 2nd – 18th, 2009
Theme: ‘Siswa Benci Dadah’
Fee: RM10.

Prizes: 1st place: RM150, certificate and merchandise.
2nd place: RM100, certificate and merchandise.
3rd place: RM70, certificate and merchandise.

Other details:
1) Duration: 3.00 – 5.00 minutes.
2) Can also include film, video clip, animation or anything suitable depends on you own creativity.
3) This competition is an individual competition. Each participant will be given certificates.
4) The montage that selected as winner, will be play in opening ceremony of “Minggu Siswa Benci Dadah”

Poem competition

Theme: ‘Dadah’
Fee: RM3 per entry.

Prizes: 1st place: Hampers and certificates.

Other details:
1) Have to be in Bahasa Melayu.
3) There have no limits of the poem. Just not too short and too long.
3) This is an individual competition. Each participant will be given certificates.
4) The poem that selected as winner, will be recited at opening ceremony of “Minggu Siswa Benci Dadah”

Introduction

Welcome to Siswa Benci Dadah 2009 Official Website!

What is Siswa Benci Dadah (SBD)?

It is a program that gives information about the danger of drug abuse organizes by the Sekretariat Rakan Muda UTP (SRMUTP). This event is conducted in conjunction with the anti-drugs campaign organized by the government to achieve the goal of making Malaysia a drug-free country.

Main Objective: To give awareness to the students of UTP about the dangers and harms of drug abuse. The program also aims to instill good moral values to the students so that they will avoid drug abuse.

The program will be held starting from
2nd March 2009 until 4th April 2009
